Hybrids in Photoshop
A hybrid is something created by combining at least two different items.
For this assignment you will create three different hybrid photoshop files for each of the following (you will have 9 hybrids when you are complete).
1. Food hybrid: You will create three different food items in a display of choice. Two should be new fruits and the third is a choice.
2. Animal hybrid: Create three new animal hybrids that are better at "something" (pick your own theme). It should be a combination of at least three different animals (head, body and feet) for each hybrid.
3. Object Hybrid: three choice hybrids that combine at least three different items. Think theme ideas - transportation, furniture, fashion...

Helpful hints on how to create your hybrid.
Step 1: Come up with an idea. Be creative - think outside the box.
Step 2: Find some images. Look in the class folder in the JOANA spring (@ symbol spring - dock bar right hand side) for some high res photos that you can use but feel free to search for your own images.
Step 3: Open Photoshop and place in your images.
Step 4: Mask away the parts that you do not need (like the inside of this donut).
Step 5: Place the new inside on the layer below. Place and size as needed.
Note - That the donut example below is easy and simple to start. You might need to Transform your objects to fit together. Try using the Skew, Distort, Perspective and Warp options within Transform. A great new tool in CS5 is Puppet Warp try it.
